SOCCER!!......Sort of...

Kelsey and Carter both LOVE to try new things. There is not even enough time to try everything they would like to. Somehow, in addition to Kelsey's busy kindergarten schedule, she found room for one more thing!! Soccer! of course Carter wants to do what big sister does for this was a no brainer. She currently goes to Dance every Wednesday after school, Girl Scout Daisies, every other Thursday, and now, every Friday night she has soccer practice and Saturday, soccer games.

they know the rule in our house. Once we start, we must finish - no matter what! Kelsey and Carter both have their own idea of soccer. The pictures speak for themselves.....

Kelsey prefers to be goalie and wait for the ball to come to her.

She did tell me on the way home from the last game, "Mom, I don't think soccer is my groove. I am going to finish the season, but I don't like all the running and getting my legs kicked. I will keep being goalie until they don't let me anymore."

And Carter, being 4, just does not understand "why everyone keeps taking the ball from me!". We just cannot figure out why his coaches (i.e. Dad) can't get the boy play. We will continue to go to every practice and game and cheer from the sides. Maybe Carter will decide it;s more fun to play than sit. Time will only tell.

Kelsey is starting swim team this weekend. I have a better feeling about this since she does love to swim and is really good at it. But I am not making any wagers just yet!
