Get Well Soon Grandpa Rey!

Todd was saddened this past week with news that his Dad was admitted to the hospital in Lincoln. While Kelsey and Carter are too young to understand, and were not told any details, they had noticed Todd was sad and asked why.

At the news of Grandpa Rey being sick and not feeling well, thoughtful Kelsey had an idea to draw him pictures and send them to him. Carter and I thought that was a great idea, but I thought a faster way to receive his homemade get well wishes was to take their pictures of their drawings and post them here.

Kelsey drew a picture of herself, Carter, Mom, Dad, and Grandpa Rey and Grandma Georgie standing next to an upside down tree - upside down because "Texas is underneath Nebraska on the map".

Carter drew fans and cords because he thinks everyone thinks they are just as great as he does. Also, we know Grandpa Rey understands what makes Carter tick and could appreciate his fans and electrical cords for what they are - and probably just as much as he does.
